Runpoint Quick Start Guide
When you logon to your site, you will see your home page displayed in the right window of the editor. Directly above your homepage you will see an "Edit" link which you can click when you are ready to start editing your site.

In the left window of the editor, a list of files and folders will be displayed. The home page is usually index.html. If you roll the mouse curser over the icons above the list of files, you can view available options, such as deleteing files and folders, copying files and folders, renaming files and folders, and uploading files.

Important: Make at least one copy of each file before your start editing. If you want to restore a page, you can rename one of the copies to the name of the file that your deleted or corrupted.
When you click the "Edit" button, all of the content on your site will become available to edit. Roll your mouse curser over the icons on the toolbar located above the page to view the site editing options. At the bottom of the page you can toggle back and forth between edit mode and preview mode.

When you are done editing, click on the "Save" button located in the left side window.
To view your website, open up another window in your browser and enter the URL of you site, such as http://www.runpoint.com/members/you
Left Window Menu
In the left window you will see a list of the current files in your site. You will also see a toolbar at the top of the window.

Roll your mouse over the toolbar to view pop-up descriptions of each tool. You can create new files, create folders, rename files, copy files, delete files, change templates, and upload files.

FILE TIPS

The homepage of your site is named index.html, do not rename this file.

Web files are case sensitive and spaces are not allowed.

Use the file copy tool to make a back-up copy of each of your web page html files. (ie: copy-of-index.html) Periodically use the copy file tool to update the back-up copy.
The Template Tool
You can change the look of your site by choosing from over 200 template styles.
Creating A New Page
From the top toolbar in the left window, click on the "Create New Page" icon.

Page Name: Choose a name for you page.This is the name that will show on the navigation bar on each page.

File name: This is the html file name of this page. Usually the recommended file name works best. The name should end with .html

Parent Page: Usually No Parent Page works best if you just have a few pages. The links to these pages will appear on each page. However, if for example you had a an existing page called "Pizza" and the page that you are currently creating is called "Pepperoni", you could choose the parent page to be "Pizza". That way, when a visitor moused over the "Pizza" link on your home page, a dropdown box showing "Pepperoni" would also appear.
Inserting Images
One of the icons on toolbar located at the top of the the right editing screen is the Insert Image Tool. Click on this link to open the image manager which will allow you upload, resize, and insert images onto you web pages.
